Pure Chilean of the Argentine Type, Selected on the
Altiplano
| Bruja means "witch" in spanish, and this llama got her name because she
was defiant and uncooperative when we first tried to work with her. She has mellowed some, but she still needs experienced handlers or she would soon be in charge. Despite her haughtiness, or maybe because of it, we love Bruja and admire her as a really beautiful example of the Argentine-type Chilean llama. She is a wonderful mother and, surprisingly, is not too difficult to handle when she has a newborn cria.
Her baby from last year, Viviana, is on our short
list of keepers. |
